Countries around the world offer between 12 and 50 weeks of paid parental leave, with the United States and just three other countries standing alone without any support for new parents. This indicting feature of U.S. capitalism can only be changed through mass struggle.

The Cold War: class-based conflict on a global scale

Listen now: Brian Becker, a national leader of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, explains the so-called “Cold War,” the half-century conflict between the United States and other imperialists against the socialist countries struggling to break free from colonial and imperialist domination. The Cold War period is marked by both hot wars and cold wars, but most importantly was a class-based conflict between the workers and oppressed on one side and the bosses on the other. This, of course, contrasts with war based on inter-imperialist rivalry exemplified in First and Second World Wars.
